The head of the meat department is fully responsible for managing all meat department operations. Duties include ordering meat products, managing stock levels, monitoring shelf life and product quality, and supervising butchers and assistants. The position also involves ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and displays, maintaining proper product presentation, and adhering to hygiene regulations. Knowledge of meat cutting techniques for chicken, beef, lamb, and pork is required, as well as the ability to work with suppliers and the store manager.
At least one year of experience in a meat department is required, and management experience is an advantage. Knowledge of meat product assortments, including non-kosher products, is essential. The candidate must be able to organize team workflows, train new employees, and work in cold storage environments when necessary.
The work takes place in an air-conditioned facility. The company offers employee discounts on store products, a designated rest area, and opportunities for professional and career growth.
Fixed schedule, 5–6 days a week, with possible work on Shabbat. Basic Hebrew is required for communication with staff and suppliers.
