The assistant butcher helps with meat packaging, portioning, and display, maintains cleanliness in the work area, washes equipment, and keeps the counter organized. When needed, assists customers at the counter, monitors stock, and replaces products. The position includes professional on-the-job training, preparing for future promotion to a butcher role.
Candidates must be willing to work with meat, including non-kosher products. Responsibility, attention to detail, and physical endurance are required. No prior experience is necessary — training and career advancement opportunities are provided.
